40 YEARS MILITARY LIFE
As a military brat turned spouse whose husband served 25 years as a C-130 Flight Engineer and deployed 9-months each year, Kat identified emotional and physical changes in her special needs kids that affected their educational and communication growth. She Founded Kids of America's Heroes (KOAH) to connect counselors and military children in an educational setting and utilized Gamification as a extention to learning and socializing.
Beause of KOAH and her military children's books, Kat has been recognized for her outstanding contributions as a military spouse and community leader. Awards such as the National Military Spouse of the Year and the US President's Recognition for Outstanding Military Spouse reflect her unwavering commitment to support and uplift those around her.
